You know, a joke is funny when people respond immediately with laughter. If someone asks you to explain a joke, either it’s the wrong crowd you’re telling it to, or it wasn’t actually funny. A wise man once said that explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. It’s fun when you’re at it, but the frog surely dies in the process. Similarly, your joke might be funny, but the humor just simply dies out when you have to explain it.
Some gifts get you pretty excited, while others leave you a bit disappointed. When you don’t like a present that someone has given to you, the biggest challenge is to make sure that the gift-giver doesn’t find that out. What you do there is put on a fake smile because, as it’s said, a smile hides everything! If you’re bad at faking smiles, bring out a strong poker face. However, just make sure you don’t portray a negative expression that might hurt the giver’s feelings.
You’re walking down a street with a friend, and suddenly, he/she bumps into someone they know, but you certainly don’t. That’s one situation where nobody knows what the right thing to do is. Usually, you’d awkwardly stand at the back, waiting for it to end soon. If you’re smart, you will start gawking at your phone or even pretend you’re getting a call. Either way, there’s nothing that would keep you out of this awkward moment for long.
