This here is the king of awkward moments! You’re sitting with your family in the living room, watching a nice movie, and suddenly, an intimate scene pops up. When caught in this situation, you’re never sure what to do. Mostly what happens is that you start looking around, trying to avoid the tv’s screen. If you’re brave enough, you might change the channel or maybe wait for someone else to change it. But, whatever you do, the awkwardness has probably filled the room before you get the chance to do something about it.
Elevator rides are always a bliss, especially when you’re riding it all by yourself. Being in an elevator with two or three strangers is also bearable, but when you’re stuck with a whole crowd of unknown people, things get a little awkward. Everyone silently faces the door, waiting for it to open on their desired floor. If you’re standing way at the back and your floor arrives, you have to make your way out by scooching through everyone else.
That awkward moment when someone meets you, and you have no idea who on earth they are- yes, we’ve all been there. Forgetting someone’s name alone is awkward enough. Not remembering someone you’ve previously met takes embarrassment to new heights. The best thing to do in this sticky situation is to be (partially) honest. Telling someone straight up that you don’t know this might be rude. Start off by admitting that you don’t remember their name. When they give you their name, respond as if it was at the tip of your tongue.
