Imagine you live alone and keep your violin on the far side of your room when you sleep. One day when you’re trying to sleep, you begin to hear your violin lightly strumming. First, you start to think that it’s just playing in your head. However, you then realize that it is the sound of your violin. You grab your phone and nervously make your way to the violin only to see it’s a spider practicing his violin skills. You then think that’s entirely reasonable and go back to sleep. Or you panic and proceed to light your violin on fire. Both make sense.
This was a picture caught by an oil rig camera. It shows the Bigfin Squid. It’s also bound to creep you out. This squid looks a lot like the aliens in the movie Arrival. However, this time we don’t have Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams to make sense of what they say. However, some sea creature was bound to confront an oil rig. Given the history of oil spills, the beasts of the sea have the right to be upset. It’s funny to imagine the squid saying, “excuse me, sir, please don’t spill your black liquid this time.”
Just hearing the name of this insect will creep you out. It’s not just a tarantula, hawk, or wasp. It’s a combination of all three. Any one of those things can scare anyone out of their shoes. It’s also funny to see this TV station tweet asking what someone would do if this creature bit them. It’s obvious. You surrender to death because it’s inevitable—nothing else you can do. A tarantula hawk wasp looks like a creature Hades, Greek God of the Underworld, would summon upon the mortal world.
